Trail Maintenance

Just wanted to give the Ceres TM a bump for tomorrow morning. I hear there are a lot of great things planned for tomorrow and we could use all the help we can get. See you there at 8am

Hope I get cancelled from work so I can come.

I'd like to help..Not sure if I can make it there at eight though..What time does this run until? Any tools needed?

I'm going to try to make it out for a few hours but I'm working nightshift now and I have to work Sunday night also. I won't be able to stay the whole time but would like to help out for a couple of hours. Does work start right at 8 or does it take awhile to get things started. I get done work at 5 in the morning and I have to leave for work Sunday at 4:30 so some sleep has to happen sometime during the day.😀 Sure wish I could make the ride after the TM but maybe next time.

Brian

Ceres is small enough that we will always hike into our maintenance spots, so wear your boots. We'll meet at 8am and be on the trails by 8:30. We’ll bike afterwards, which should start around noon.

Sorry to bail on you guys, I was planning on attending, but a nasty storm blew through my neighborhood Friday night and took out every tree in my yard. I will be cleaning up for a long time. 🙁

Dude, that sucks. I love my trees. I'd be a sad mess.....

Wish I was closer to you to lend a hand.

Thank you to the thirteen strong volunteers, as we moved like a well-oiled machine today thru Ceres park. It was only our second session, but we were incredible efficient installing and nicking our turnpike and trail drainage. Are you having fun? Final session is in two weeks, 8/14 8am to noon.

what did you guys wind up doing with the stairs?

Had a good time today even though I couldn't stay untill 12:00. ( Wish I could have made the ride afterwards but maybe another time. ) The trail out of the park felt like 10 miles long by the time I got to my truck. 😀 After being awake for 19 hrs I was pretty well spent but it was worth it. It was great meeting everyone and I hope I see some of you on the trails in the future. Mike we didn't work on the steps. They're going to be addressed on the next TM as far as I know.

This Sunday is the last scheduled trail maintenance at Ceres. There is a lot planned and we could use all the help we can get. Please try to attend yourself and recruit others to help also. Talk about it with the people you ride with an encourage them to make time. Kids that can take direction and work are also welcome. The trail maintenance people (JORBA) from Allaire are coming down and it will be a great opportunity to learn from them. Hope to see you there 🙂

Barring any further weather disasters, or crashing my bike....I should be there. I will try to drag a few experts with me.

may not be there until later. forgot that i have a camp out sat night with marc.

still too early to call, but they're saying 50% chance of storms on sunday. hopefully they'll hold off until later in the day.
