Tour de Lake Hopatcong

its $40 cheaper too :eek:. I'll be doing it

With Battenkill shaping up to be a pretty $$$ weekend + saving for a wedding I can't get away with doing the $100 race/travel day things...it adds up
 
I'm in. This years race schedule is wacky for me but this is in my backyard. Plus it climbs Edison, one of my favs.

yeah! it would be great to have a bunch of O&B out there. Lance did this race last year and finished top 10 I believe. He is in even better shape now!
 
It's rigged so the Mt. Arlington Police Chief gets into the top 5 (whom also happens to be the contact of the event)....

It's a good, challenging route with lots of hills to climb

I'll last that along to Keith tomorrow morning, at 5:30 when we're doing hill repeats on Edison Rd.

Who else is thinking of doing this race? It is on the same day as Singlespeed-a-palooza again like last year. Unlike last year I will probably do this race instead.

Technically, it isn't a race. More like a gran fondo. The roads are open, so you do have to deal with traffic throughout. There is a police escort for the first few miles, but that is about it.

Having said that, it is still a great time.
I haven't decided if I'm doing it this year.

He's so fast, it looks like he never changed out of the jeans and sweater that he wears when doing the organizer's announcement at the beginning of the ride. Last one out; first one in. Crazy fast.
