Tire Sealant Freezes

From the Stans web site, MSDS info...

Freezing point : No data available
Boiling point : No data available
Flash point : No data available

And it goes on and on with no data available.

Stan’s has been proven to work at -50 which is why almost all of the ITI Athletes use it. It will never freeze in NJ, ever. It just straight up dried out because it’s old and/or unused.

Yup.
Made the mistake of driving with the bike on the rack during last Thursday’s snow storm. Dummy.
Fortunately Friday was warm enough for an outdoor wash.
Silver lining: It needed it anyway.

But I’ll correct you on the cold:
Don’t ride carbon if it’s below freezing.
Numerous threads here on this.

no carbon soled shoes either.

Overnight in the basement and the rear tire now has that nice sound of solids moving around again. So yea, that race crap froze. I added a bit of regular Stans to both tires, went over the suspension, lube, air and a nicely waxed chain. Oh and Super Secret drip freezes in the bottle, should make for a nice stiff chain this afternoon. Loading up the bike IN the car and headed over to Marty's to ride DM. It's a balmy 30 degrees out finally...
