wife busted me today.

Q: "why do you have two bikes that are almost identical?"

A: one was expensive, for racing or good weather. the other is for rain/winter.

make your own assumption on the expense of the other one. :D

that white saddle does not fit my *ss @xc62701 - it has been like 3 years, and i still haven't swapped it.

jeeze hang them right next to each other? At least space them out!

My wife has zero eye for bikes (or cars for that matter). Even though she knows I bought these, she thinks these two road bikes are the same bike:

And these two mountain bikes:

She also has no clue about cars - yesterday I got behind her at a traffic light on 202S (she was shopping in the wegman's shopping center) and started revving like crazy. She had no idea it was me until I got right next to her and started honking the horn! I'm pretty sure I could trade in the GT350 for a GT500 with the same blue + white stripes and she'd have no idea it's not the same car.

i'm thinking a clamp-on chuck with a foot pedal would be better.
never did it tho - also lack of release valve that way.

nice work!

this one seems to fit presta fine, if a bit snuggly, you have to give it a really good push to get it on all the way, i fully expect it to loosen up with use.

I was too cheap for Park tools so I got this a while back. No longer available but there are a dozen replacements.
.
Works great to inflate, the gauge shows too high (better than too low I guess)

This is the tree at 6MR i worked on this morning.

it fell in a position where it is uphill to the right, and sitting on its limbs.
I trimmed some stuff away from the area for an escape route first.
Had to work high off the trail because it was the first flat area where i could stand.

I knew it was in compression, and would need to go either towards or away from me while cutting, not down,
which would just trap the saw, and sit up in the air - so wedged both sides like this.
heard a bit of crack, and just pushed it sideways, and down it went!

the large log that was still in the trail also needed to be cut - too big to move. see the overlap from when they came apart.

so decided to have some fun with that one. far side has a wedge, then i cut through to it, and used
plunge cuts to remove the piece...this kept the saw from getting stuck when i finished it off
(cutting up from underneath) in this pic, the one on the left wants to slide right.

Good project. Gotta love when a plan comes together.
trimmed a wedge off the log - made it look much wider.
