I'd rather bag the money spent for tickets, hotel and meals. That place is an absolute rip off. But a nice rip off at that.
Our all hands company gathering next year is going to be in fucking Monaco.

I'm gonna say the people in charge lied about the numbers if Madison WI and Monaco are the same price ever let alone in February. I hear a normal coca cola is like $10 cause I don't know where to find the euro buttonThe team in charge of organizing this event narrowed it down from 20ish cities worldwide to Copenhagen, Madison Wisconsin (not joking), and Monaco. They said the price was roughly equivalent. Monaco won because of February weather and flight/train availability. We're obviously not going to be given free range at the Monte Carlo Casino, and we probably won't take a trip on a luxury yacht, but based on how amazing our all hands in Whistler was, it's probably going to be fucking incredible.

I suspect they won’t but you will…hopefully I’m wrong but I’ve been there a few times and ran from it (not before testing whatever part of the ‘formule une’ track was open to the public in a crappy FIAT Uno, pretending to squeeze whatever non existant DNA the little FIAT shared with a Ferrari, an activity too well known to the local Gendarmerie). On a second thought, are you sure you festivities not Italian and confused ‘Peincipaute de Monaco’ with ‘Monaco di Baviera’ ? If I know anything about you that would be AWESOME especially because it’s not in September!Bringing 1000 people to a destination gives you bargaining power. I guarantee you they won't be paying $10 per coca cola for us. They have no reason to lie about this. I realize most people work for assholes, but I don't.
I was assuming a committee was put together and was like yea Wisconsin is so expensive let's not go there. Don't get me wrong great beer and fried chicken sandwiches and the dells are cool in the summer, but not seeing how it is close to any of those other destinations.Bringing 1000 people to a destination gives you bargaining power. That is awesome, I suspect Whistler may be best but Monaco is a place I have always wanted to witness. All meals are catered at the conference center or prepaid at a restaurant, and absolutely everything is taken care of for us. I didn't spend a single dollar at our last all hands. Thanks for your concern though 😁
If I had to guess, I'd say much of it has to do with the actual travel arrangements due to 2/3's of the company being based in the EU, but I don't know or care 😜
Unless you take me. Then it’s a’ight.
Exactly, that poor princess has been trying to escape since day one she got married to the prince, can’t be that good…Hi. I heard Monaco is full of rabies. And there’s no Sidewinder. So it probably stinks. Unless you take me. Then it’s a’ight.
Wow that’s great! My oldest son (22) is trying to land a legit role and get his first paid gig. Toughest industry to be in especially now.Drove down to Savannah Friday (I no longer fly), saw my youngest perform Saturday Night, drove BACK to Jersey Sunday. It rained from mid NC all the way home with a deluge from Raleigh to Baltimore with a tornado warning.…just to spice it up.

Worth every second of stop n go. He played Doody in Grease. Ironically he played the same role in day camp when he was 8. But now he gets paid 🤑
edit: No, this is not from the Saturday, it’s a shot from rehearsal. The wardrobe department is not sending him out there in street clothes and Nike’s…. Lol.
Thx! Yeah, for every role there’s like a 100 rejections. He goes to school in Savannah (SCAD) and didn’t come home for the summer in hopes of landing…… something. He was also in a ‘70’s show they put on last month. He was performing in that show while rehearsing for Grease. Totally wore himself out…but he loves to to perform as I’m sure you son does as well, so they keep putting themselves out there. I can’t tell you how many roles he’s missed out on because he doesn’t yet have his equity card. Fingers crossed.Wow that’s great!
