I put the tire on if thats what you mean. . . . that was the factory I9 tape, the tire was installed in July and held fine until this week . . . . no f-ing clue how it happened without me touching the tire.

p.s. i took the tire off from the other bead first this time so its not from the tire lever.
Yes, that was the point of my question, who installed the tape.

got it, the tape was installed at the factory, even had the i9 qa signature on it, iv had the wheels for 3 years, and i bought them used.
They obviously need to be fired.

RTalk, I had this issue since I started using DHR and Dhf Tires, idk if the bead being so tight has something to do with it Or if it just my bad taping jobs..

I figured out that my cost of ownership (not including gas and insurance) over ~6 1/2 years and 66K miles was about $100/year, not too shabby. Of course this was helped out immensely by the $5K insurance payout to total it where I got to keep the truck. Sad I wasn't able to get it to 300K.

Starting work today with this. So much fir getting up early.

Oh and yesterday’s frown was at the midpoint of our gravel ride we stopped at high bridge park for a bathroom break and someone dropped a Deuce in the urinal side of the Porto John. WTF is wrong with people.

Fell during a ride on Halloween, riding off a dirt trail onto an asphalt path that was slick as ice. Fell onto my right side, but somehow my left thumb wasn't getting any better. Think it got wrenched by the dropper lever.. Went to a hand specialist last Thurs and an ultrasound confirmed a complete tear of the RCL ligament. 3 weeks wearing this, hoping some healing on it's own, if not surgery. This sucks.

Speaking of back issues...somehow tweaked my back again raking leaves Saturday.

Wasn't doing anything super strenuous, this feels way more frustrating than the first 2 times. Back to the ortho.

I strained my back putting on socks! It was so bad, that night I was crawling to the bathroom. Went to urgent care the next morning - lumbar spasms triggered by muscle strain. I've never had pain that bad ever.

Always stock a couple Rx muscle relaxers.
Soma usually does the trick.

Since I play a Dr on the internet...

Anyone want to guess the date the nail falls off? Broke the tip into 3 pieces. As usual the house Rx pain meds did the trick for the first 12 hours.

It's bad. Hopefully the nail grows back.

Dr was impressed that I drilled a hole to relieve the pressure.

Did I already post this? Not a bike injury.

nails always grow back - unless you lose the tip of your finger!

Right to the drill press.

I've also drilled it manually.

how did this thread get mixed up with Post your BooBoos one?

Ouch that looks painful. A few years back I slammed my second toe into something and the whole thing turned black and blue and looked just like that.

I used the drill bit method too (slowly by hand) to relieve the pressure a few times, followed by soaking it in peroxide each time (Ouch again) and it took about a month for the nail to fall off completely aided by the fact I was swimming a lot (it was summertime).

if thats the middle finger at least its fun to show everyone.
