Things that make you frown :(

I did this once too. Accidentally brought a 3.5 inch assisted-opening knife on a plane in my laptop bag. This was only a few years after 911 too. I didn't realize it was in my bag untill I reached in the side pocket to grab a USB chord and felt it in there. My stomach dropped for a moment. No fuckin idea how the TSA missed that one! An accident on both our parts. I still have tha knife too. Glad it wasn't taken away.
WTF! I accidentally had my favorite #3 craftsman screwdriver in my back pack instead of my checked snowboard bag and they snagged it. Was not a happy day

Wimps, Try grand jury. 12 weeks every Friday.
I've been called in for regular jury 3 times, never assigned to a case.
One of the cases heard while on grand jury was of the cyclist hit, killed, run, left for dead on Herberstville Rd. The details of how this piece of shit holocaust survivor could try to hide made me shiver.
So think of that next time you want to get out of your civic duty.

I'm just glad it didn't interfere with my trip out to rays mtb in Ohio this Friday. When I first saw it would be a 6 day trial my heart dropped then the next sentence says Monday through Thursday and for once things seem to be working out.

I accidentally brought a knife on my keychain through Newark airport TSA without any issues. I later had it confiscated taking my son and his friends to Great Adventure. They said I could put it in a locker, but that cost more than the knife.
Security at EWR can SAD. They're horrible. They missed a multi tool with a serrated blade that Denver caught immediately on the return trip.

To answer the OP's question. Two things right now. 1st is the stock market tanking and watching my son's college $$ disappear. And 2nd is the fact that tomorrow is going to be a powder day up North and I have a Dr. telling me not to do anything until after my stress test.

I've been on a feeding frenzy the last couple days. I moved to robinhood gold to get credit cash while my bank transfers are processing. Was a small window this morning, I couldn't buy fast enough, felt like the whole market went from several points in the red to green in less than 5 minutes.

Fidelity's website is completely down due to volume. There should be a front page article claiming the USD is dead now because of it. I can't access my dollars!

haha, wfh and that's all my wife's been bitching about, she got through by phone doe

Im planning on working into my 80’s if I last that long. That’s my retirement plan.

Driving auto parts in my 70’s and working for food at the Red Cross in my 80’s.

it's not so bad if you have job changes to better fit your lifestyle. I'm still planning to retire before 60, but will find a job doing something else.
My dad retired in his 60s from the restaurant business, then found a job assembling furniture in Jersey City. His last job was making dumplings for a restaurant in his early 70s. Well kind of, in his late 70s became a professional gambler till he got kicked out for breaking casino rules. He's really retired now in his mid 80s and hates it, would do anything if someone gave him a job.

Idle time has its time and it isn’t all the time.

now im upset that i was excused . Finally 8 jurors were selected and the defendant was happy but when the judge asked the plaintiff if he had any exceptions he paused checked his notes and said thank you juror #2 your no longer needed . I was curious to see how the case would unfold , o well ill probably be back in 3 years

The way I look at it, living in the first world, first world problems are my problems

Yeah, I’ve heard this response before. OFTEN

The context in which @Norm used “first world problems” is more of a practice then it is a lack of acknowledgement of ones reality, IMO.
