Saturday, my kids’ 1st time down at Allaire, I wisely unleashed them on Brisbane. Wow, they were in over their heads a bit. and it was hot. Hilarious and sweaty.
Today, loaded up the crew and dropped some fruit off at Dad’s. Grabbed him and took a lil boat ride to confirm it was windy. Came back and hung in the slip. Dad was like, look at me, I’m floatin’!!

Some more exploring in the mine area today. Someone moved my tree project for me! I was all set to work on cutting it out of the way this morning. When I got there it was moved. It was kind of balanced on branches and leaning, so maybe it fell on it's own. Anyway, more riding for me. I saw a bear, 'bout 300 lbs, off to my right while I was riding a wide trail. It saw me and bolted, but wound up running parallel to me, stopping once in a while to look at me. Kinda funny. Then I hit my technical non trail and was able to ride the whole thing which is always a nice surprise. All in all a good ride today.

Tried another route east via Old York road. Didn't want to cross 202 so when I hit it, backtracked a little to Case which then got me to S. Branch. Headed north and passed Pat's house - if he was out in the yard would've stopped but didn't see anyone and kept going. Stopped at the dopie Opie river for a pic.

well bit the bullet and actually drive to do a bike ride. Figured baldpate should be deserted - nope, hikers everywhere. Even on that ridiculous blue trail, two women were hiking their little kids up that rock section. A bunch of big trees down, some mud at the bottom.

Moving some logs that were put there to discourage riding, I worked clearing about 600 feet of trail.
Then went for a nice ride to cool down.

Got the EVO charged up and new cleats on the shoes. This bike is certainly lighter than the systemsix, and does better in cross winds which was good today - the east wind was nasty. Went up lindbergh and back. Also first ride with the wahoo roam - looks yuge compared to the elemnt bolt. And it uploads directly to strava again - yay!
