The Queen got a neo-classic Convertible

If that’s your price range look for a used Vantage. Not something you see every day, and besides being a beauty and quick, also has one of the fastest convertible tops out there. I know it’s sort of a picky thing, but when you’re waiting for your top to go down, a short top down time is nice, but when it starts to rain unexpectedly, a short top up time is essential.
Not necessarily...

The Queen has spoken!

I was going to use RuPaul, but.......

She has decreed the following
- that this car will not have a manual top
- that this car will have adequate heat, and would consider a/c a bonus
- that this car should still be unique
- that the budget has increased
- that the car shall not be too masculine (jag, porsche, bmw, muscle, pony, land yacht)

This has eliminated 90% of what we've been talking about.
You all have attempted to garner approval from the Queen with your suggestions,
this will all be considered against your debt (my debt?)

how many 1958 corvettes exist with the power top option?

She finds this appealing. How far from a little MG can ya get? Personally, i don't want the extra 2 seats!

i should have kept bidding on that SL600.
so the answer is - goalposts moved.

then the answer is: yes dear. got it.

and yes that V12 SL600 looked super cool.

I’ve always been a fan of European Fords. A late 80’s XR3i Escort convertible would certainly be unique over here. Find one of these in the UK and import it. It’ll be right hand drive for extra unique-ness.

Here in Morristown...

Gotta be the refresh 2002 (?) refresh! Is it model year 2003?

I was tempted in the 90s, the box look was in. Then those beautiful Mr Peanut headlights appeared.
Big motor options & they got the red on point which pairs with their tan or black interior - and away we go.

I wonder if she'd go for the SC430? (again with the extra seats tho)

PS -

The Queen decrees the modern Vantage is too similar to other cars - although it may be unique, only the car people would know.
As opposed to the Porsche syndrome where you could get a 911 Carrera, and the non car people would not know the diff from a GT3,
but still recognize it is a Porsche.

If you’re thinking SC430, how about an Infiniti G37...we had a 2009 4 door and it was bulletproof. Traded it in at 125k but it could have gone forever. A friend had the convertible on a lease and still regrets not buying it out. Great engine, plenty of oomph, super comfy seats and very rare to see these days.

If the Vantage is too similar to other cars not sure how an infiniti would work.
