Do they make spacers for electrical work to compensate for sheetrock thickness? Seems the last work the just tried their best resulting in every outlet being loose

You could try this. Will require a lot of elbow grease.Has anyone refinished cast aluminum? This is for my boat. It’s the pedestal seat base. I’m thinking of sanding and painting or clear coating. I’m not looking to polish it. Just clean it up. Thoughts?

Been there. After it was all done, I realized I can cast just as good not standing on a deck. The boat project will never end. It’s like an art project that just keeps going and going and going….

Yea there’s a lot of products for polishing and I’m not looking to get into another big project. Looking more just to clean it up and get rid of the oxidation. I’m not quite sure if it’s painted now, but it’ll probably get painted and reinstalled.
Hurry up!Progress. Slow…
You sound like my wife!Hurry up!
It’s August!
Great work, is this going in a lake or bay?You sound like my wife!
The summer has been so busy, we probably would have only used it once or twice. I’ll be using it this fall. Hopefully it’s done by Labor Day. Doing it right takes time! Being a perfectionist doesn’t help.
Lake. Fresh water only.Great work, is this going in a lake or bay?
Cool. Not quite clean, but I see regional trends in there (VT, MA, NJ, NY....)
