The Bridges of 6MR

Someone has been busy. Delighted to see this this evening :

Didn't know the 6MR bridges were being named, and I don't want to know the story behind this one:

Yeah.. this needs to be torn out.

Someone has been "maintaining" it. It gets muddy next to it, so it may be an opportunity to lower it, and make it useful.
I believe the posts for that one are sturdy/driven into the ground.

A trail angel stopped his ride ( ok, he was on moto) to help me with the bridge.

Big thank you to @jklett for his help. We were short on wood, but made it work.

We were both amazed at how recessing the top rail made the bridge appear much wider than the 1.5" it added?

Working on the approaches this week.

The cement bridge needs some serious help. Anyone on this forum who is a cement pro? Lets repair this thing while the water level is super low.

Mainly dump a few sh!t tons of cement into a rudimentary form on the one approach, continue to maintain the f'kin clogged pipes as needed, and defer a proper repair for another 20yrs....

I believe this was discussed before, but I think that pier shape is key to avoid blockage by floating branches. Now, not sure if that bridge can be considered to have piers, but something could be done to straighten the direction of the floating branches. Some triangle shaped piers strategically placed upstream could do the trick. Again, what's the span of that creek at the bridge location?
