Also I agree with the shoelace comment. most stems are adequate functionally assuming proper fit and installation. Yes, design and aesthetics matter, and the softride fails on both. At the risk of being negative, change to "worst" stem because unless this is really another "who is baller" thread that is more meaningful.

I will start off with a Ti superflexy Big S takeoff I ran for one ride many years ago. Man that thing sucked. In retrospect now I know why it was free. Not many things a stem needs to do but not flex is one, this didn't not flex. Could not even believe the Big S put their name on it.

All the other ones I have run have been, well, forgettable. and with stems that's a good thing.
