Teva Links

Pros: Stiff, true to size for us regular width ppl. If you have wide feet go with the 5.10s. Hard rubber that has surprisingly good grip. I was scoping out lines on steep large boulders and was planted. The 5.10 rubber is softer but I hear they wear like crap. Also, the divits in the Link's rubber is better for the pedal pins than the 5.10s stealth. I didn't feel the 5.10s I had were too sticky like the reviews I read. I think the Links are on par in the grip dept. They are comfortble. Although they felt like payless skate shoe quality in your hand, wearing and biking in them proved otherwise. The quality sure is there. The ion mask thing (aka water repellent treatment) is a nice touch as I noticed my pack dripped water onto the shoe and it splashed off. But it's not neccessary unless if they make a mud repellent treatment.

Cons: Color choice. Good thing they supplied grey laces with the lunar color. No place to tuck long laces away after you make the rabbit go through the hole. I already got them muddy 🙁 New colors coming in '13 so that's good!

I have a pair of Links that are about a year old, they're awesome shoes. I got the purple ones.

i have been wearing the pinners ( non water proof version of the links) and I love them, great on the dirt jumper, and around the driveway, I have never had a shoe that gripped this hard to pedals

so i have had my links for 6 month and today i notice the stiching is popping out on the left toe area.
great shoe stick very well to the pedals not as tacky as the 510, you can reposition your foot if need be.good suport i dont feel as if iam wasting anything when pedaling
water proofing is o.k. there is a mesh toe cover so water is going to get in and does.
