Late to the game here, but basically what Steve said-
For March, Flagstaff will likely be under snow,
and Sedona should not be.
A couple thousand feet in elevation makes a big difference.
In all the years we have gone (typically in mid-March), I think our first year was the only one when Flagstaff wasn't socked in.
We didn't realize this, and didn't take advantage of it and haven't had another chance yet.
I do need to ride among the aspens in Flagstaff some day- so pretty.
