I'm trying to figure out the setup, is the front brake actuated by the Paul lever? Do the brifters work the shifting?

The Paul lever is a second lever for the rear brakes so you have brakes in both the upright position as well as with the starndard brake levers.

These are not shift levers, only shifter is the SRAM shifter on top of the bars.
