Can't be more messy than up north. With 40's and amount of snow we have here I would rather go south.if it stays in the 40's it will be a mess unless you guys get there first thing....

A few of us from Westchester are considering heading down to Allaire Sunday but before we make the 2 hour drive........thoughts on conditions for Sunday?
:hmmm: point well taken.i think if you go early (while it stays frozen - temps will be cold the night before), it'll be good. its supposed to get warm sunday, so things will get sloppy fast when it starts to thaw. i think after the noon hour, conditions will be bad.
a note on current conditions from our friend FFT:
"If you are a fast rider be careful because the chance of coming up on a suprise patch of ice is almost guarenteed. If you are a rider who keeps count of how many times you fall each ride you might want to wear football pads."
tell me why would anyone from the north be lookin south when snow riding has been at its best for like three weeks now call me crazy but I've been getting out no less than three times a week with changing snow conditions regularly. yea it might not be the fastest ride and may have to get off at some hills but man I can't remember a better winter snow riding season. psst bye the way the fitness of plowing first tracks is resistance training to the max with the added bonus of honing those balanced skills. instead of running down south try your back yard trail....RIDE ON!
