I’m headed to Killington next weekend (7/27-28) with my son and one of his friends. 99% sure we will only be on the blue trails tho. Say hi if you’re there then/see us. (I’ll 100% be in orange and blue MTBNJ jersey)Hey, so the only bike park I've done is the creek for the last three years. Still working my way through the black tech trails. I'm going to be up in Vermont. Have my eye on Killington, any deets and opinions on Stratton? Thx
Remember its the opposite of skiing ratings (our blues are VT green) .creek blue tech square are black or even double black at killington.I’m headed to Killington next weekend (7/27-28) with my son and one of his friends. 99% sure we will only be on the blue trails tho. Yeah, Will is a novice rider tho. And I’m nervous AF when it comes to other people’s safety.Remember its the opposite of skiing ratings (our blues are VT green) .creek blue tech square are black or even double black at killington.
Kinda wondering if my Pivot Trail 429 “Enduro” (140/120) is enough for the blu a there.
Easy way to save $300 for two days of riding.Yes it’s fine. Blue at Killington is hard pack & well groomed. You can take it on the single blacks too. Tad more chunky but you’ll be ok. Maybe not Goat Skull though.
I’d avoid Blue Magic given your nervousness but any other blue should be fine. Not that you won’t be fine on BM. It’s just a bit jumpy.
Or just text me and ask about every trail.
My son and I both rode our 27.5 trail Bikes on everything but a couple of the trails from the summit. I would say the only place we were underbikes was on Black magic. For me, Blue magic is a not to miss as you can roll everything.Yeah, Will is a novice rider tho. And I’m nervous AF when it comes to other people’s safety.

I had/have free tickets to stratton from my VMBA membership....My son and I stopped there on a friday afternoon on our way to a weekend killington trip last year. Its fine for an afternoon....We ended up riding the one flowy/jump run "bermie sanders" MANY times....its fun. Is it on par with killington? not even close, but half day for free, it was totally worth going to, we had fun.

Wait, I can spend 60 bucks for vmba and get a lift ticket to stratton and killington? That's a no-brainer, that's less than a single lift ticket! Is it all online, or do I have to wait for things to get mailed to me?Remember you can join VMBA and get a free day at both parks, just not Saturday at Killington
