The Appalachian Trail and all intersecting trails in Stokes State Forest are CLOSED until further notice due to a Fish & Wildlife operation tracking down a bear that attached campers. Not much riding in the affected areas but it may extend to more accessible trails

Sunrise Mtn Rd is also closed for the weekend. Old Flatbrook to Crigger is open on the other side of the park. Rode to High Point monument today, saw 1 bear on the return trip.
Ed and Pat Gifford
the Snot Rocket tandem
and
Co- Mo Java on the road:)

I hope you mean "attacked". But I could care less about bears. They won't hurt you if your riding a bike, so might do the Blue Mtn trail tomorrow.

Yup. no spell check on the bulletan, whoops, bulletin board.

I agree. Riders spook them pretty fast. I experienced that the other day in Mahlon.

My big concern are the bow hunters that confuse handle bar extenders with antlers.

well not exactly the handlebars...im worried about the hunters in both stokes and high point that are trigger happy.
