Stephens Pool Party BarBQ

For anyone who has some free time today there seems to be a pool party BarBQ going on today at Stephens SP. Tilcon Lake seems to have been taken over by moms and their kids. As I was rolling back to my car there was 3 groups near the iron gates inflating rafts and dragging wheeled grills out towards the water. The kids actually had arm floaties on.

Some of the moms looked pretty cooked so I’ll assume they are pounding down mommy juice hidden in their Starbucks cups.

I thought there were still a few more years to go until Tilcon Lake was cleared as safe for swimming.

No swimming as the sign say. Park Police was out in force last year there.

Another gem has gone down the tube. Each year more people and more garbage left behind. Very sad. State will eventually shut it down.

Bummer. I was actually thinking of kayaking the river today. I was there yesterday and it was quiet.
