Staycation Tandem Riding

Was able to round up three sets of tandem riders on Saturday to ride up through Harriman, and up along the Hudson on scenic Rt 218 to Cornwall. In 59 miles, we encountered 4700 vertical feet of climbing on enjoyable scenic climbs, screaming downhills, and more scenery in between. A #10 day!

Very cool.

My wife has told me on a couple of occasions that if I bought a tandem, she'd ride with me (she doesn't ride at all). If I believed it, well, I'd do it.

Nice! The pictures make me want to get up there and ride that myself. Since I do not ride on the roads anymore,( I sold my trek carbon road bike after getting hit twice in three years, with neither driver even touching their brakes, let alone stopping to see if I was OK )That is saying something.

Great pics, Ellen. I used to commute over the "Goat Trail" when I worked at Indian Point. That road looks a lot more enjoyable from your perspective.
