Sram dub NDS powermeter dropping out constantly and maybe other powermeter tangents

Pearl

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
cant figure out why this thing keeps connection/disconnecting when im riding, it drives me bonkers. I made sure it was installed correctly, latest firmware blah. blah blah.

and lets not get started on comparing the numbers from this device to my pedals, its nearly 10% off and i know its all about being consistent versus accurate but man, i cant live like this... i had to bump the sram jawn up nearly 6% to get within 10 watts of the pedals.

wanted to share this free tool (and not pay dcrainmaker) i found too so you can overanalyze things that dont mean anything: https://maigod.net/

This happens indoors and outside?

Does it still happen on different things connecting to PM? (Garmin / iPad/ etc)

another thing to think about is that this single sided power measurement assumes your power balance is 50/50, I'm sure its NOT, if your left leg is the weak leg you will read low, if its the strong leg high.

This was inside

Zwift had pedals connected to it
Garmin has quarq connected to it

Power graphs never look smooth IME.
Totally get about it being smooth, but it’s just straight dropping out on me fam

I experienced this and pedals say I’m pretty close to 50/50…

New battery? Re-pairing? Power meter reboot?

bruh

i swapped out a battery, reinstalled, repaired, firmware is up to date, im curious if i try and test without the pedals nearby, it wont keep connecting/disconnecting. since theres tons of signals floating around sitting in the garage versus being outside in the real world

gonna try and ride outside and run my watch with quarq, garmin with pedals... see what happens

haha thats what i was thinking too, not as good as the regular spindle ones eh?

Not even close. Good for giving you broad strokes like average over the 50 mile gravel event you trained 3 years for or how many Kj burned during the 5-boro bike tour or how many watts did I average on the 1 climb in the Medio Fondo I paid $350 to ride. Not doing 20 minute TT intervals on the trainer.

Ah yes, the blah blah blah technique. Very helpful for others helping you troubleshoot. Just sayin bruh...more detail the better. We're working on limited info.
