Squam Lake Holderness, NH

In a few weeks I will be heading up to Squam lake with some friends and family for a few days and I plan on bringing my bike. I am wondering how the riding is in this area. One of my buddies will be coming for rides with me and he is a novice so I will be looking for something on the not so technical side. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Franklin Falls Dam is close by

It is not that techy and has a nice layout

Fox Park is in the middle of Plymouth

It has a fire road climb then a bunch of short down hills off the top

There are numerous trails in the area but unless you have a local guide, most of it is hard to find.
You can try Rhino Bike Works to give you a better idea for intermediate riding.

If you do go to Plymouth I suggest going to Biederman’s Deli for an after ride pint and lunch.

On your way up from NJ you could stop at FOMBA which is a city run mountain bike area for the locals which has some nice groomed single track trails and not to techy

good luck
