Sourlands VTM SUNDAY 11/10/24 @ 9am

The last official VTM of the season is Sunday 11/10. We'll be working from 9am-noonish, but feel free to leave whenever you want. Work plan still TBD (open to suggestions). Meet at the main Sourlands parking lot and look for the Park Ranger truck. Tools and instruction will be provided, but please bring your own work gloves, sturdy shoes, bug spray and water.

I think we'll be trimming on the trails we missed last time so bring battery hedgetrimmers if you have. If you have a battery saw that can hide in a pack that may be useful too

Biggest turnout of the year for the last TM of the year. Thanks to all who came out! @Patrick , @snashters , @qclabrat , @JPark , @phillychris498 . We covered A LOT of ground and between the last 2 TMs, i'd say we trimmed and cleared about 80% of the trails. Here's last time's trimming:

And here's what we trimmed today. Blue circle is what the hiker group did so not sure how well they trimmed without power tools, but there were a lot of them.

My watch says we covered 5.5 miles in 4.5 hours. Well done! At least Walter took some pictures.

Not to mention, the rock wall at the intersection of the crossover trail and white is cleared of brush, for those among us who still ride across it like a very consequential skinny.
