The oppressive heat couldn't keep the crew away today. We tackled a perennially wet & muddy section of trail today by slightly re-routing the trail and armoring it rocks. Despite the fact that the Sourlands is blessed with an abundance of rocks, it takes time and skill to find just the right rock to complete the jigsaw puzzle. Thanks to Efingers Sporting Goods for supplying the energy bars and liquid refreshments, and supplying the team with tubes. And a big thanks to everyone who came out to help:
Matt Ryle (sixseven)
Bob Birmingham (montclairebobbyb)
Steve Snyder (seredyns)
Ilya Cantor (Kush)
Bryan Culbertson (brybry57)
Todd Finetto & kids (fasterthenliam)
Tsvi Raab (TKR)
Kevin (stb222)
Phil Mehl
Jeff Drobits (mtbdawgJeff)
Here's a few pics from today.
Kush and stb222 appeared to hit it off nicely at first...
But then Kev made fun of Kush's big stupid wheels and things got ugly.
I was hoping all day Dan would show, I heard that he was at a craft show or needlepoint convention or something of that nature. He was last seen at the eco preserve on friday wearing the color of the day.How many times did fasterliam suggest that it would be cooler if you worked without shirts on?
Great to get out and move some rocks. I like rocks.
I am jealous of the shade.. It was hot out there today at 6m.
We got a lot done. We worked from 9-4!!!
