I bought this bike in July with high hopes.

it’s a fantastic bike with a insane reputation and a cutting edge design.

unfortunately it’s a hair big for me and I made the mistake of riding the same bike in a med.

I also own the 429 in the large and I love how that works for me.

this bike is technically a shop demo so it can be sold with a full warranty, which is uncommon on a used bike of any kind.

yes, I can take a cc

I haven’t ridden this in a few weeks and I’ve wrestled with even listing it, but the reality is that it isn’t being ridden.

message me if this seems like something that is interesting to you.

know that this bike sold for $10,500.00 when new

I moved some parts around and here is how it’s built up now

-Fox 36 factory live valve kashima fork
-Fox Live-valve rear shock factory series
-Reynolds carbon wheels built on industry nine torch hubs (new)
-Minion DHR two 29 x 2.4 wide trail rear tire/minion DHF 29 x 2.5 wide trail front tire (both new)
-Fox transfer post / wolftootth lever.
-Fizik Taiga saddle
-SRAM XO crankset with 32 tooth ring (ring is new)
-SRAM XO 1295 10/50 tooth (new)cassette
-Shimano XT for piston brakes with XTR rotors 189/180 (new)
-Sram xo rear der and shifter

-Pivot Carbon Bars / alloy stem / headset / grips (new)

@jdog So your saying if someone rides medium Pivot bikes they should ride this in a small? Asking for a friend of course..
There’s a bit more to it than that, I fall right between a medium and large and most bikes anyway.

At every event that I go to the demo drivers always want to put me on a medium and half the time I feel better in a large.

I ride a 56 cm road bike so large in most mountain bikes.

this is a fantastical bike.

Interested in hearing more. Recently riding a Kona Honzo I didn't feel right in the Large, but the basic components were also a downer.

Im still in awe that people ride $10k bikes. I clearly made bad life choices
Naw.. you ride bikes and that’s a good choice. When you work on bikes for over 20 years, you look for better and better equipment as the years pass by

I personally think that a $4000 bike is a LOT better than a $3000 bike.. but from there the gains are pretty slim.

You underestimate mid life crisis, 60K (?) that's just barely enough for the wife's soccer mom van 🤔
