I did 2 rides today. Before work mountain bike ride and lunch break road ride.
Dirt Ride – 3 hrs. 5 min / 29.88 miles
Road Ride 56 min / 14.26 miles

I started early morning with lights on and headed to Mercer County Park. I entered the park at Brunstfield Drive and found the trails to be too soft to ride. I exited ASAP on to Conover Rd. and went back in by the Boat House. The rest of the Park was in good shape, with only a couple of soft spots.

I also went for a short road loop during my lunch break. Maybe multiple rides are the way to ride more, especially during the next 2 double days?:hmmm:

Garmin is still confused in the woods and dirt ride was edited from the Bike Computer.
The handlebars looked very busy this morning.

Stopped in to check for conditions for the short track and found this. Fun! I'm quite late to the party, but can I play in Sport too? My numbers are so modest, and I don't do GPS, but you won't mind, right?

3/9/13 - road, 55:00, 14mi, double pts - 4 pts
3/11/13 - road, 58:00, 14.7mi - 2 pts

How the hell did you guess? Yes I had a growler :) Ironically the band that was playing at Triumph last night was called the Bengal Golds.
Ha- Wild guesses can be right sometimes. But I know if I lived at Lambeau field, I'd spend a lot of quality time at Triumph. Love that joint.

this i have not seen. put down some rocket dog rye IPA last night myself.
I'll save you a bottle- It's a New Belgium offering- should be showing up in NJ once they get their East Coast brewery on line.
I haven't tried too many RyePA's, but they are definitely getting some market share these days. I will add these to the to-drink list.

Tagged real good, ugly just plain ugly.

Ouch- sorry to hear- Hope you are okay.

Dude, that place is making me poor!
Yeah, I can believe that.

Okay Clarkenstein, gonna make you break out the abacus here.
Commuteded today.
Rode in, extending it a little for mileage
http://app.strava.com/activities/45387107
Rode home:
http://app.strava.com/activities/45425860
Realized there was a small difference between the strava and bike computer,
so went out for the .2 mile in flip flops and short sleeves
http://app.strava.com/activities/45427524

So for today: 40 miles 3:07:39, that's mileage 2pts + time 6pts,
and I'll call today a floating double day (from the one I missed 3/1).
And this makes 7-days so I'll claim the 10 streak points now too.
If I have this right, that gives me 26, 76 overall.

So I was psyched for the cold today, got to try out a new Tool jacket and see what all the fuss was about. It was high 20's when I left, dark and with a little wind.
I would usually go with lightweight smartwool base + micro fleece + wind shell.
Tried it with just the lightweight base layer. Started off cool (not cold), but after the first hill, warmed up and stayed comfy for the rest of the ride.
Didn't overheat, and it was nice dealing with one less layer.
It's got great pockets, and is a solid design, only downside is the Canadian zipper. Not sure what is going on with that.
I'm sold.

Ride home: I guess the wind heard what I've been saying about it's mother, because it was waiting for me after school. Headed home pretty much into a 16mph headwind with gusts in the mid/high 20's.
Joy.

1st Recovery bev: Hitting the Widmer Bros Columbia Common again.
When you find a look that works, you stick with it.

Happy Friday people.

I had a plan of riding on the road for 5 hrs, but I got a late start and all of this wind. So I went and played in the woods to hide from the wind.
Pavement- 14 miles
Dirt – 22 miles
It was a beautiful day today, even if very windy.:D

I told you I'd try to make it interesting before it was over...

And yes on the second breakfast. I ate like a beast this week.
I hope the folks going for the 31 streak are feeding themselves.
I didn't eat enough for the effort last Sunday, and rebounded on Monday playing caloric catch up.

Last ride of the race for me. And last march winds ride - hopefully april is a little calmer.

anywho, 1:54/25.6 miles - 4 pts. Plus 5 pt 4 day streak bonus = 9 pts. I think that puts me in first place, at least for a few hours.

PS maybe a pity bonus point for personal record?? Most rides and most miles in one week - 5 rides/115 miles on the mtb.
