Well to each their own. I went with the stages bike. I was able to get it through backcountry.com via activejunky.com for a grand total of $2550 to my door. I take my training a little more seriously than riding a cheap 10speed bike like @trener1 suggests. Also, the amount of maintenance adds up on a regular bike on a trainer. Headset gets all messed up, bottom bracket beari gs, chains etc.
Ultimately this is a bike designed to i tegrate to zwift and all other platforms flawlessly. I bet Sagan can win the tdf on a 1990 Tarmac but why the hell would he want to?
