Shifting not as sharp after a rock strike

The first gen Shimano clutch derailleurs are god awful. You need a new cable and clutch rebuild every 2 rides.

Would that be the 9 speed or 10 speed?

10 speed, I think. Never saw a 9 spd derailleur with a clutch.
