The 650-mile (1,047-km) Amgen Tour of California, featuring virtually every top North American pro plus Euro stars such as world champion Paolo Bettini (Quick Step) and Giro d'Italia winner Ivan Basso (Discovery), begins Sunday in San Francisco. The field will be filled by 144 riders representing 18 teams. Not present, at least on a bike, will be 2006 winner Floyd Landis.

We've seen some contradictory programming times for the Versus TV network (formerly OLN), so check your local listings (and fire up those TiVo's in the East). Here's the schedule from the race website at http://www.amgentourofcalifornia.com
