Going with the fam for the kids spring break, bringing bikes. Any recommendations on good bike friendly places to stay? Don’t need to be on the main drag or even in Sedona proper. Girls want pool to sit in the sun all day while the boys ride.

Let’s ride CR one day and I’ll tell you all about it. Have you found a place to stay yet?

The new year has not been kind to either of us at work so haven’t had a moment to do any planning.

Oak Creek is going to be more reasonable to stay. You can get to a few different systems from there. You can technically ride to any of them but the Mezcal stuff would be a haul.

Rent a pickup so you can throw the bikes in the back.

How many days you plan to ride?

TBD but hopefully 4+

Has anyone done the Sedona to phoenix shuttle? I’ll be out there in May. I’m renting a truck with @Sven Migot but will be leaving earlier and need the shuttle back to the airport. Was it dependable and on time? Pricey? Thoughts?

My friend used Groome Transportation two weeks ago. It was reasonably priced.

On thing they did say to her when they called, was their pricing is much, much cheaper if you meet them at one of the hotels in Sedona vs your AirBnB or off the beaten path hotel. They basically do a run where they hit up a couple of the larger hotels and then to PHX. On time, no issues.

You may want to call to ask about bikes if you're bringing a bike, she didn't have a bike.

Actually, I also used Groome in 2020 a few weeks before the world ended. Apparently it was only $55 that time.

I hiked the white line today - it is no joke.
