Seat post issue

I have a 30.9 seat post and replaced it with a different 30.9 post. The new one is just a tad bigger in diameter as it gets stuck in the seat post reducer/seat tube reinforcement piece. It’s made of aluminum. I was thinking of just giving the reducer a little sanding to help the post fit. Thoughts?

But then if you replace the post again it might be to big and slip.
True but I’m more likely to sell the bike before replacing the post. Plus it’s towards the bottom of that reducer. There should be plenty of enough adjustment at the collar to grab the post.
