Just 2 more rides left for the Wed.afternoon rides. We will do a standard route next Wed. 5/16--- and for the finish(5-23) we will try again to do the"two hours at the ridge".We will end our season on June 2, we will meet at 9:00am, for the Mountain Laurel Ride. New bird houses are all over the Black Run trails. Hikers have nailed markers on trees. This place is starting to look like a park. Next will be the NO BIKES ALLOWED sign.

Ah, don't worry about that. From what I hear the people governing the Black Run Preserve are only interested in making the area accessable for walkers, joggers and mountain bikers. They also are trying to keep developers from building on the south end of the preserve, below the ridge. Appearently there are long-range plans for homes and the Preserve feels that will destroy the watershed as it starts near the old airport. The water in the BRP streams is as pure as any water in NJ.

2040 is to long of a wait to do the Leap day "two hours at the ridge". So next week(our last ride of the season) that is what we will do.
