scratch on sanction

I rode ringwood for the first time the other day, and when I was putting the bike in the car I noticed a scratch on one of the sanctions about 70% up. this scratch isn't extremely deep, but not a light one;(will have pics soon). but will a scratch on the sanction cause any performance/compression problems? I guess my biggest concern is that once compressed to that level oil could leak, or if the scratch could damage the sealer.

btw, the fork is the fox float RL32.

Buff it out, and if its deep use nail polish. Repaired a small scrape on my Boxxer that way and hasn't leaked any oil. Google for the procedure if you're not sure, or better yet go to your LBS if you're not sure ;)
