Schilling Group Ride September 10th, 2023

As of now the ride is on. There is a chance of rain tomorrow and I will post up here by 7:15am tomorrow(Sunday)morning in the event we need to cancel. So check in here before you leave the house.
If I do not post up by 7:15am tomorrow, that means the ride is on.
Carpool, leave early to allow time to get ready. Dont be that persone rolling in at 9:10 needing to kit up and top off all fluids.

Ummmm what if we gotta leave the house at like 6? Its more than a 2 hr drive for real south jersey.....
Sorry to hear that.
If you wake up and the weather radar map looks like this...I'll probably cancel.
Otherwise, I'd go for it.

A little foreshadowing. Hopefully you guys and girls got a nice opening ceremony and a few dry loops for our old friend Chris. See you out there.
Thanks everyone for coming out, the weather held out, for the most part and I was glad we got this in. As the years go by, it's nice to come to Allaire to remember and honor our friend Chris Schilling.
The ride leaders did a great job keeping the groups flowing through the trails. Thank you JT, @Matt_ @Purl , Melissa, Oldock and Ross for leading/sweeping rides.
We'll be at Bikefest at the end of this month. This is a Jorba event, the organization who represents mountain bikers in NJ. Come out and show support if you can.

Great ride, Matt & JT kept a great pace with a big group (25-30?) got a little challenging at the end with the rain and fogged up glasses.

Trial by fire I guess. Great group with great moral. Coolest thing I heard is how @Juggernaut signed himself up for a race he didn’t realize and that’s how he met Chris. Chris talked him off the edge of the cliff and encouraged him to keep going. I may have not had the pleasure to meet Chris, but sounds like based on the community I’ve stumbled into, he’d defiantly be a friend.
