Replaced my Salsa Enabler with an On-One Carbon Fatty Fork. Yum.

Nice!! I was tempted but worried about the difference in offset affecting handling hence my beargrease fork. Notice anything different?

@Rob: it was $185+ $40 shipping from UK = $225. They were running a 15% off sale at the time. Fork is made by Mitsubishi. Strait steerer (non tapered) so was an easy swap. 135 rear brake spacing, which matched the Enabler, so no shimming needed.

@Dave: Haven't ridden the trails yet with it, but the driveway test reveals steering is a hair quicker.

Huh, I would have considered it a little more then, I thought it would be slower. Although after the Salsa demo I changed my cockpit around (lowered) and made an noticeable improvement in handling.

First ride on the new fork today. Amazing what a positive difference it made in the steering feel and liveliness of the bike! Super happy with this mod. Steering a bit quicker (likely due to more offset = less trail), ride through the chatter is noticeably smoother (perhaps some damping effect from the carbon?) and a bit less effort required to loft the front end (I guess even 1.5 lbs less helps my Olive Oil arms ;-).

Guitar Ted did a review on this a while back: http://g-tedproductions.blogspot.com/2014/08/mrp-fat-fork-vs-on-one-fatty-fork-part-2.html
