RV Hike/Swim

Was thinking of heading up to RV to check it out and do some hiking with the pup.

Is there a spot that we can hike to and I can get her in the water?

I know there's not a true loop - but where would be the best spot to park and hike from/to?

best bet is the pavillion which is accessed through the back gate.
with the water down, the weeds between to old edge and the waterline can be crazy.
there are a couple of triathletes that keep a path open.

i haven't seen anyone camping, so not sure about the campsite access to the water.
that would be up and over from cush lot, down to the campground road. through one of the campsites.

i see people that go into the scuba lot, and let the dogs run along the water there.
might be $5 to get in weekdays.

I suggested going into the main entrance cause the waterline from the cush side is so overgrown and going to the pavilion from there was a little far (Ed told me he is looking to do about 2 hours). The main entrance allows you to park right at the water and you can walk along the water for almost a mile -- then do it all backwards, or cut into the woods to get back to the lot. That's not hardcore hiking, but it's really pretty and will be cooler on a hot day.
