has anyone stomped this place down yet?
Not me. Stomping some work down.has anyone stomped this place down yet?
No, but I'll volunteer to sit in it to help with the trail grooming.Anyone have a plastic sled that want to donate?
Please explain?I heard Rutgers is the new Six Mile...
are you gonna walk / snowshoe with the groomer or drag on the bike? i've tried that method in the past, and the one thing i found was that sled gets squirrelly on anything remotely off camber!Went in this morning to break trail but the rain made a crust layer and it was poop. I made a groomer so I'll try to cut in a loop tonight...View attachment 150998

Poop. Dragging 100 pounds in a sled does poop. Like, doesn't even make a dent in the snow kinda poop. Maybe this will work when it's warm and the snow is squishy.

Had to go look for the groomer they use at gurney lane. Saw them running it last year and thought it was cool AF

That is way cool. Like Gurney up near New Paltz, NY?
Oh right, my bad. Thx for clearing up for me! Hope all is well!Up by Lake George -
was thinking of bringing the plate compactor
yeah, up hill and plate compactor would be bad news. will be checking it out later to see how the weekend hiking activities are packing the trail downbetter going dh than up! almost seems like it should be a combo compactor/track vehicle.
maybe the snowdog works well because the weight is focused on the rollers???
there is also an accessory to stand on.
seems they have a couple older models left for $2,100
let's put a ski on the front of an e-fatbike?
might be more expensive tho!

i think you are def onto something here.Don't. It's a frozen poop mess.
Homemade groomer 2.0, also a failure. Or right now it is, in squishy snow this will work. Maybe.
