I was curious so I called - starting July 1st, RV entrance is $5/car weekdays and $10/car weekends (NJ Residents). If you don't want to pay the fees, start on the Cushetunk side.

Or if you have a fishing license, is the gate open to the park? I haven't parked at the launch lot for years

Gate is locked in the summer.

Could park at pickel or indian purchase. Go in the back gate. There is a path around

I've gone in from Picknell and like it better than the Cush lot, too damn steep. Where's Indian Purchase?

There is something that looks like a trail head here.

but after it hits the power lines, it becomes too steep to climb. Just ride up RV Road, and go around the gate.
I put it on trail forks, but it is down atm.

When I do pickell, hit the pipeline, turn left onto the bottom of white, then right on yellow, then left on blue, then over the saddle.
still need to hike the saddle. may do something about that this summer. I don't go up that blue link off the power lines.

It's been a while since I came in on the Picknell side, but it's that just as bad as the saddle climb?

it's worse - it is the blue trail climb from the point it starts to go straight up.
