I checked out Ringwood with studs today. The ice was kinda cool. The reflection was almost blinding. Crackling noises and bubbles under the ice. I fell through at one point and water splashed onto to my tights and froze immediately in little round droplets, like mini pearls. Always cool stuff out there. 
As for condition: it was not that great. Still has up to 3 inches of snow, lumpy, bumpy ice, and standing water. Looking at the weather forecast, my guess would be snow melted by next Tuesday and a week to dry out. Sorry for a depressing report, as I know everyone is excited and waiting for spring.
