Hi, I'm Like New. 2 years ago I was on this forum and went on an Allaire ride and met some of you, and I tried Mercer, Sourlands, and Tohickon/Ralph Stover alone but never got far and gave up. Mostly I ride the D&R paths and my roads.
I intend to go to at least a day of Ride Allamuchy's Cranks event.
Stumpjumper22 I know who you are...
It's tough to find someone who has patience to show 1 person the ropes. I'm not very DIY, and this is what happens when I try huge "beginner" group rides:

welcome back aboard the tuesday rides still live..plus post up to the rides section I am sure you will find a guide or so,,

Good luck with round 2. Don't give up, find people who ride at your pace or go solo until you can keep a pace. Its all about the fun and the joy of being on a bike, entertain yourself.😀
