This is important. Can you do this on mesh?
Tplink has a mesh network setting on thus unit so yes in would say it does have a mesh option.

Just get this, then check back in 5-8 years...2100 sq ft (3 levels, normal drywall, normal glass, 1/2 acre plot). Per Google's speed test on laptop wifi at the far end of the house: Download is 45 mbps. 25 mbps Upload (12ms latency). Google says that's "fast" but is it really? Cell phone wifi in this same spot always drops in and out.
Thanks to everyone for the help and recommendations. I don't know crap about this stuff (I'm just an Imaginary Engineer). Definitely not looking for commercial grade and not really sure i need a mesh network. Just looking to replace my POS Optimum "thing" with a better single "thing".
around 4k all in. def well worth it given kids at home, working at home - so many things wifi connectedHow much was it?
Thats plenty fast enough to do just about anything. You don't need crazy fast speeds from your isp. I have 60 mbps at my house yet I trouble shoot people's houses that have 1000mbps every day when I show them the actual data usage they are baffled at how low it is. honestly most homes are using less than 25mbps at any given time. With a few spikes above that from time to time but rarely.2100 sq ft (3 levels, normal drywall, normal glass, 1/2 acre plot).
