The frame on my friend's Trek Fuel cracked (complete weld failure at the top tube to seat tube at 6-mile no less!). Trek sent him a replacement frame that I'm building up for him (it pays to buy new sometimes!).
My question is this: Do the rear suspension bushings get any lube? These look to be Teflon or some other polymer coating over brass? I have read differing things, like you don't want lube in these as it attracts dirt and will cause premature wear, but I also see where people say to put a few drops of lube on these pivot points when lubing the bike. Anyone know the right answer?
Thanks,
Tim
