I figured this thread may be helpful for people who travel to this area for gravel rides.

As of 8/1, Trump is in Bedminster and Copperthwaite was closed with police vehicles on both ends. Elizabeth Lane was also closed. Uniformed USSS on Lamington Road at main entrance to TNGC, which I haven't seen since he was in office. USSS was even at the power substation on Lamington Road and NJSP was on I-78 where TNGC meets the interstate.

Everything else was open, including Tree Top through Fiddlers Elbow.

Lightfield Road has signs that it will be chip-sealed on or about 8/15 and they are currently regrading, so we might lose a gravel road!

so is it like, rocky gravel or what

gravely rock?

There are 100s of miles of gravel to be had - road connected of course.
The roads were never paved to prevent cars from cutting through-

those damn roadies that can't single-up, are a problem.
Paving ain't gunna help. roadie gunna road.

If any of the roads get chip sealed you’re gonna need a Fatbike for a few weeks until the deeper stuff gets packed down.
