Race Survey Results

Here are the results of the survey I posted last week. In all, 63 total people voted. Not everyone answered every question. It was not mandatory. Having posted this and looking at the results, my questions could have been a bit more fine-tuned. For instance, I should have asked something like, "If you are cat 1, or are upgrading next year and are interested in possibly racing in the open class, do you want the same length or 1 more lap?" Then added an option of, "Not cat 1/pro." The results in that are probably meaningless as cat 2/3 replies probably shouldn't be counted there.

Anyway, the results:

1. Are you in favor of all cash going to open/pro, or would you like to see some remain in the cat 1 classes?

All cash to open/pro: 55.6%
Keep some in cat 1: 44.4%

2. Which class should start earliest every race?

cat 1: 33.3%
cat 2: 22.2%
cat 3: 44.4%

3. Which class should go second?

cat 1: 23.8%
cat 2: 73.0%
cat 3: 3.2%

4. Which class should go last?

cat 1: 42.9%
cat 2: 4.8%
cat 3: 52.4%

5. Would you like to see the races on a shorter loop with more laps, or stay the same?

Shorter and more laps: 41.3%
Keep the current format: 58.7%

6. Should the series have a rule to mark the racer's legs with their class?

Yes, mark the legs: 88.9%
No, it doesn't matter: 11.1%

7. Do you prefer a fixed time, or can times change depending on the race?

Fixed time: 34.9%
Doesn't matter: 65.1%

8. Should open pro do the same number of laps, or 1 more?

Same: 60.7%
1 more: 39.3%

Endurance Guy: Tolerates most of us.
I like 2 questions that got the majority of votes by a good amount. Marking the legs, and Pro doing the same number of laps as Cat1, albeit marking the legs isn't necessary in the Pro field because there's not enough guys.

#4 is a bit of an quirk considering the other questions referring to the start times are the same.... so don't you think their may be a flaw in the result of the question ??

Certainly, which I admitted in the top post. That still means 50% of the questions result in things people would like to see changed. Since the 8 questions covered only 6 real issues, that means people voted in favor of change in 4 of those 6 issues.
