I think the site could generate a whole bunch of new users if you guys put a qr code sticker in the information booths at parks listed on your site. Im not sure what the logistics are of actually putting the sticker in the booth but they are pretty easy to make and have printed.

Don't think a link to this site would be legal would it? Wouldn't that be advertising in a public park? Maybe its legal, but I would imagine MTBNJ would have to pay someone for it.

walk up to booth, apply sticker, I think thats it.

I used to have one of those commodore 64's in the pic.
 
i don't know man. i've done work with QR and i'm still not sold on them. until a reader is integrated into every smart phone, they're pretty much techgeek-ville.
 
I'm curious as to how it would generate more members.

Between garmin, strava, trail maps, mapmyride, etc. all the info you could possibly need is already there. I can already "check in" at a park and my phone will tell me if anyone else is there.
