I read "put me back on my bike" this summer about Tom Simpson and is death during the Tour de France. The book talks alot about the notion that it was better to ride dehydrated and these pit stops mostly involved looking for alcohol or soda which we now know both can increase dehyrdation. Good book about cycling and the obsession of to be the best
