Anyone ever been here? I think it's 2 years old and small and homegrown. Gonna go check it out Saturday since they say they're staying open until 11/30 and it's not too far. Videos on Youtube look decent - some jump runs, some natural, and some cool old abandoned waterslides they let you ride down!

Edit: Wow, found my original post about it. A lot more than 2 years old. Anyway, glad i'm finally going to go check it out.

How was it? Decent trails?

Trails were good but short story: They need more trails and they need to learn about water management.

Long story: Out of their total 8ish trails, 2 (Wild Turkey, Fisher Cat) were closed due to multiple huge trees down on them which will probably not reopen until next year (i half rode, half hiked them anyway just to check them out). There were about 7 people riding total and I was the only "serious" rider (others were kids on hardtails just having fun). It kind of reminded me of the size and laid-back vibe of Launch Bike Park, but just with way fewer people. It was a fun place but not a top-tier park like Creek/Thunder/Highland but it has a lot of potential. Their machine-made jump/berm/flow runs (Raptor, Fisher Cat, Red Tail, Fox Hole) are very fun and well-executed - except they need to learn how to divert water off those trails. Some jumps had puddles in front of them and some sections were eroded down the middle which just makes a flowy trail way less fun. The 2 natural runs (Wild Turkey, Sasquatch) i liked a lot and the 1 green run (Shredwood) was way more fun than a green run should be. Though, to be a true green run, they should probably screen some nice dirt over the whole thing because it was kinda chunky. The old concrete water slide run was a hoot as well. Some drawbacks are 4 trails require a traverse of the ridge and short uphill hike to the trailheads and the lift was pretty slow. The hill is pretty small so i didn't mind the slow lift all that much and i was able to hit all trails multiples times even on my half day pass (which was only $28 by the way). The drive there was only 2 hours for me so it's a lot closer than Thunder or Highland if you're looking for another November DH option. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there if you wanna see what the trails are like.

Bottom Line:
It's a decent option for late season and i will probably go back in prime season but only because i have family nearby. If they sort out their water management and erosion problems, it could be a great place for a 150-170mm trail bike as well as a DH bike.

Saw on the Facebook that Powder is stepping up their game for 2018 by hiring a professional trail building company. I'm sure they will be addressing the issues in my previous post.

Dave King /DirtSculpt is on this which means it could be pretty sweet! Nice to have another option (depending on traffic) about 3 hours from central NJ. Could be a good stop on the way up to or back from Highland in NH.

Looking as this for a potential spot for a weekend trip in June. Any reviews from the past couple years? i think dirt sculpt opened gentle giants there last year?

It's a fun lil park , gentle giant is huge and pretty technical . They keep updating and adding stuff to all the trails . The chair lift sucks big time and it's a really small hill like 400ft of elevation . It's not a destination type park but more like a hey I'm pretty close to this place .

Agreed. If you're looking at doing a multi-day park tour trip, it's worth a stop on the way up or on the way home, but I don't know if I'd spend an entire weekend there.

Saw on Facebook that Powder Ridge is still open this weekend if anyone's looking for more lift laps before winter
