This Sunday, 12 April, 9am meeting in Penns Landing. Expect 5+ hours in the saddle and a healthy amount of climbing. Steady pace, no drops, but not for beginners.

Start with an easy spin across town on Spruce St bike lane and the Schuylkill River Trail, followed by dirt in East Fairmont, Belmont, Wiss and Cresheim trail systems. Return to Penns Landing and refuel at a local place.

Post up or message me if interested.

is belmont still covered with 1000 log overs?

Belmont wouldn't be Belmont without 1000 log-overs. And removing any of them risks the wrath of Walt - and you don't want that. ;)

Unfortunately, I'm out of town this weekend, but hope to make it to one later in the season.

Is Cresheim open? I seem to recall reading something recently about some sort of maintenance going on there.

I was at Wissahickon on Sunday - rode yellow from the Inn out to Lincoln Drive and orange back. Conditions were perfect, but heavy crowds kept the pace casual.

Cresh is the only spot I haven't been to since the recent thaw. I'll report back on Sunday.

3 people are in so far for this ride.

Figures that I scheduled this on a busy TM weekend. I'll do another in April for sure, with more calendar scrutiny.

Great ride today, 50 miles of smiles. @case won the grit award for doing 1.5 hrs in Belmont missing a cleat with no complaints. Crazy that another rider lost a cleat screw which tipped us off to cases' situation. Quick run to manyunk and all good.

I'll post more of these. I can almost guarantee you will ride somewhere you never have, see something you haven't, and generally like philly more.

Ian - no clue what you heard about cresh but it was sweet as ever today.
