I have the Lezyne Alloy pack pump. I like it, but the one annoying thing is that the screw-on chuck sometimes removes the valve core. I'm planning to get one of these: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftb/pumps/portable-mountain-pumps/air-tool-big-bore-pump
I've found that pressing the little black button on the chuck relieves the pressure and then you are less likely to remove the core. However, the manual also recommends that you apply loctite to the cores...good to know i wasn't the only one that backed out a valve core.
Hey, you can put it anywhere you want on a braze-on, I just like having it handy.@Kaleidopete You make some cool shit man. This may also be my first time seeing a skewer on the drive side.
Doesn't that little black continuously let air out of the tire and when you release it the pressure is still there?I've found that pressing the little black button on the chuck relieves the pressure and then you are less likely to remove the core. However, the manual also recommends that you apply loctite to the cores...
I use a 5/32 open end wrench to really tighten that little bugger and that seems to work for me since I too have accidentally removed the core.good to know i wasn't the only one that backed out a valve core.
THIS ^^^ totally screwed me at RV the other daygood to know i wasn't the only one that backed out a valve core.
