Note to self...Try to remember not to be the first to ride the mountain bike trails in the AM...At one point early Monday morning I had 22 spiders hitching a ride, and my bike was white with webs! I swear some of the webs across the trail could've be used on a carrier deck to stop a jet! I even ate a few (protein)..Ewww!
And also...that buzzing you were hearing in your ear was not a locust coming from a distant tree that sounded like it was getting closer...it wasn't until you felt it crawl down your neck(a bee)then go down the back of your shirt and proceed to sting the hell out of your back...at that point you realize how fast you can leap from your bike and jump around like a monkey while you rip your clothes off(good thing I left the Go-Pro at home, cause that sure would have been a scary scene, LOL!) as all the wild critters within 10 miles laugh their asses off at you!
Then you can only smile when after 22 miles you get back to the parking lot, and watch the last, lone spider(who must have held on for dear life) quickly crawls down to the ground and scurries away realizing what a great ride it was, but if he ever wanted to see his friends again, it was time to get off...Still beats the hell out of sitting on the couch all day....To honor all the Vets/Troops out there on Memorial Day(Thank You all for all you do/sacrifice!), I added the Red, White, and Blue Trails to my Orange Trail Ride...Once again, a huge Thanks goes out to Kurt and all the trail maintenance guys/gals for making my addiction all the more fun and entertaining! "Life is Good, Bring it on"!!!
